  • System liquidity surged 56.75% to N7.373trn in October from N4.703trn in September, as lower allotments at the last OMO auction and the final two T-bill auctions limited how much CBN mopped up, just N6.182trn in fresh OMO sales against N9.051trn in OMO maturities rolling back into the system, alongside N1.310trn in T-bill maturities, FGN Bond coupons and FAAC inflows.
  • Inflows are projected at N13.787trn in November, modestly above October’s N13.495trn, with OMO and T-bills again the largest sources, alongside a $105.94mn Eurobond coupon settling offshore.
  • The naira eased 0.87% to N1,338.99 in the NFEM window in October, even as the parallel rate strengthened to N1,379.19 and the premium narrowed, despite the CBN selling over $3bn in FX during the month.
  • Average Brent crude rose 6.15% to $106.61/bbl in October as Middle East supply risk stayed elevated, helping lift external reserves 0.60% to $55.26bn.
  • Secondary-market turnover eased across NTB (N3.909trn), OMO (N16.755trn) and FGN Bonds (N5.090trn), with yields drifting higher for NTB (18.23%) and FGN Bonds (16.18%), while OMO eased to 18.88% from September’s 19.81%
