The Association is the principal interface with the monetary authorities through policy advocacy and engagement, aimed at promoting sound market practices and ethical conducts comparable to international standards that facilitate liquidity, transparency and price discovery and engendering market deepening.
FMDA leverage on the relationship it has since established with policy makers/regulators and multilateral organizations such as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Debt Management Office (DMO), FMDQ Group, National Deposit Insurance Commission (NDIC), Ministry of Finance, National Assembly, World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) to mention a few, towards influencing public opinion and government policies especially as they relate to the financial sector.
