  • Mr. Samuel OchehoPresident

    Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc

    Mr. Ocheho is the Head of Stanbic IBTC Global Markets. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Jos, Plateau State of Nigeria and is currently undergoing an Executive MBA programme with INSEAD.

    He joined Stanbic IBTC Bank (A Subsidiary of Standard Bank Group) as the Regional Head of Trading for West Africa overseeing both the Nigeria and Ghana trading desks. He was appointed as the Head of Global Markets in March 2014.

    He has over 19years of strong trading experience spanning Money market, Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, ALM and a brief stint in commercial banking. Sam has been actively involved in the development of the Nigerian Financial market via his membership with the Financial Markets Dealers Association and holding a position in the governing council as the Head of the Bond Dealers Workgroup.

    Prior to joining StanbicIBTC in 2005, he had served as the Chief Dealer in Bond Bank (now Skye Bank), First City Monument Bank and Kakawa Discount House Limited.

    Apart from his interest in the Nigerian Financial Markets, he is actively involved in sports and has served in the following capacities:

    • Chairman and now Patron Lagos State Handball Association
    • Member of the Board of the Handball Federation of Nigeria.
    • President, Handball Federation of Nigeria.

    Highlighting his love for sports, Sam has been sponsoring a biennial handball championship which started in 2012.

    Samuel Ocheho has and is still involved as a facilitator for various organizations on financial market issues.

  • Mrs. Adetoun DosunmuVice President

    FBN Merchant Bank Ltd

    Adetoun has over 17 years’ work experience with a focus on various treasury functions including Fixed Income Securities, Assets & Liability Management, Foreign Currency Trading and Derivatives.

    She joined FBN Capital in 2013 as Head, Fixed Income / Treasury and successfully set up the fixed income trading desk as a major income generating unit of the Markets Division with over $737.5m profitably executed trades within the first eight months of operations

    Prior to FBN Capital, she worked at UBA as Head of Fixed income Treasury where she was responsible for ensuring the bank meets its Primary Dealer Market Maker (PDMM) and Money market Dealer (MMD) roles in both the bonds and treasury bills trading respectively

    Adetoun holds a B.Sc. Economics from University of Ibadan and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. She has attended many courses including Euromoney, ICAP, Securities Trading Simulation and is also an alumnus  of Wharton Business School.

    Mrs. Mary Gbegbaje is the Acting Executive Secretary.

    Mary started her working career in 1989 upon graduation from the University of Benin where she studied English & Literature (Education). Once done with the National Youth Service Corps scheme at the then Allied Bank Nigeria Plc where she worked as a customer care officer; she secured a job as marketing officer in the pioneer Nigerian credit card Company Cash-Data Services Ltd, Ikoyi, Lagos.

    Mary’s client service, customer care and relationship management experiences span various sectors of the economy including brand management, communications, non-banking financial institutions and not for profit organizations.

    She is an amiable facilitator and mentor who has over the years attended a number local and international training workshops in diverse activities. Furthermore, Mary passionately volunteers her time with the avowed commitment to developing small business initiatives for young women and campaign for compulsory primary education for the Nigerian child towards skill acquisition and the alleviation of poverty.

  • Mr. Michael AnyimahMember

    Zenith Bank. Plc

    Mr. Michael Anyimah is currently a General Manager, Head of Trading (FX, Fixed Income & Derivatives), Investor Relations and Multilateral Funding at Zenith Bank Plc. Prior to joining Zenith Bank, he worked with Citibank and National Bank in roles covering Currency Trading, Asset and Liability Management and Fixed Income Trading.

    He has a Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science with First Class honors from the University of Lagos and a MBA degree from the same University. Mr. Anyimah completed the CFA exams in June 2007 and also earned the CFA Charter in the same year. He is the Chairman of the Foreign Exchange Workgroup of FMDA.

  • Mr. Ayo BabatundeEx-Officio

    SunTrust Bank

    Ayo is a 1998 graduate of Management and Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. He is a consummate Banker and Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria with over 19 years of financial services experience, including a brief stint at Financial Datanet House Limited (a consulting firm). He is an Alumni of the prestigious Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He started his career in 1998 with MBC Securities Limited as an accountant and later pursued a career in banking with MBC International Bank Limited (which merged with FirstBank after banking consolidation in 2005). His MBC banking experience covered various aspects of back office operations (domestic banking, international trade services, treasury operations, cash management and business process improvement). Ayo joined Citibank Nigeria in 2002 as a Financial Analyst in the Financial Control Department responsible for strategic & business planning, expense management & cost control, regulatory, management and institutional reporting. He later moved to the bank’s Risk Treasury business under fixed income, currencies and commodities (FICC) group in 2004. He was responsible for managing the bank’s assets and liabilities- minimising the liquidity and price risks inherent in the balance sheet, whilst also in charge of the bank’s accrual portfolio and the associated interest rate exposure. Ayo learnt the dynamics of emerging markets’ balance sheets, inherent key risk factors and performance indicators. He helped create and design business solutions to enhance the regional profitability and efficiency. His Citibank group experience cut across countries: This varied geographical experience provided the cut edge skills for his major assignments in the legacy Oceanic International Bank, PLC. While in legacy Oceanic International Bank, PLC, he managed over N1.7trillion (USD5.5billion) balance sheet of the bank in a profitable, efficient and effective way. He was the Head of the team that successfully integrated the legacy Oceanic bank treasury business and operations with Ecobank Nigeria business. He led and provided leadership for Ecobank Nigeria Limited Treasury and Global Markets Business, in a combined role as the country treasurer and regional treasurer for Nigeria. He grew the Ecobank treasury business from a loss position in 2012 to a PBT of $206million in 2017. He has served as the Chairman of the Money Market Dealers Workgroup of the Financial Markets Dealer Association (FMDA), and as on the Board of FMDA as an ex-officio. Ayo joined SunTrust Bank on August 1st 2018 as the Chief Executive Officer. He is married to Olabimpe, with whom he has three lovely children.

  • Mr. Ini EbongEx-Officio

    First Bank of Nigeria Plc

    Ini Ebong is the Group Executive, Treasury and Financial Institutions, First Bank of Nigeria Limited. Prior to this appointment in January 2016, he was the Bank’s treasurer, a position he occupied since 2011. Before joining FirstBank he was the Head of African Fixed Income and Local Markets Trading, Renaissance Securities Nigeria Limited, the Nigerian registered subsidiary of Renaissance Capital.

    Ini worked in Citigroup for 14 years, having joined the Treasury Group – Sales and Trading and rotated through a wide variety of trading roles across most Treasury products, Asset and Liability management, Treasury sales and marketing, Treasury risk management, until he became Country Treasurer and Sales and Trading Business Head, in June 2003. In his career in financial services, Ini specialized in the Sales and Trading function and has extensive work experience that covers not just trading, but also Treasury and Balance Sheet Management. He has a passion for market development and has worked actively to drive change and internationalization of the Nigerian financial markets: foreign exchange, fixed income and securities.

    Ini has worked closely with regulatory bodies such as the CBN and DMO in assisting with the development of fresh monetary and foreign exchange policies, to broaden and deepen markets and open them up to international practices. At various times he has facilitated and delivered courses and seminars on a wide variety of subjects covering Money Markets, Securities and Foreign exchange trading and market risk management subjects to regulators, corporate customers, banks and market participants. Ini holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Architecture from University of Ife.

    At various times, he served as a resource person for the Money Market Association of Nigeria (MMAN) now Financial Markets Dealers Association and also on the Market Development, Process, Documentation and Foreign Exchange Committees. He was the Vice President of the Association from 2006 to 2008 and currently serves as a member of the Governing Council of the Association.

    Mr. Ebong has a passion for market development and has worked actively to drive change and internationalization of the Nigerian financial markets: Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and Securities. In addition he played an extensive role in the development of the Bond market in Nigeria, acting as a resource person in various fora, working with World Bank/IFC Technical Teams, CBN and DMO on Bond Market Developments.

  • Mr. Olufemi AdaramolaMember

    Citibank Nig. Ltd

    Mr. Olufemi Adaramola is the Head, Local Market Treasury of Citibank Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the Obafemi  Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State; Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary, Canada  and Doctorate degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia, USA .

    Olufemi has over 10 years banking experience with various treasury functions spanning ALM, Money Market, Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange. He is a Financial Risk Manager.

    Before joining Citibank in 2011, he worked with Standard Chartered Bank from 2007-2011.

    He has been actively involved in the development of the Nigerian Financial market via his membership with the Financial Markets Dealers Association and holding a position in the governing council as the Head of the Money Market Dealers Workgroup.

    Mr Oluwadare has 11 years experience in core banking operations.

    He began his career with Access Bank Plc where he rose to be the Team Lead, Accounts and Reconciliation of Treasury Operations department. He later joined Standard Chartered Bank (Nig.) Ltd where he was in charge for Operational Risk Management of Financial Market Operations of Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria and some West Africa Countries.

    He joined Coronation Merchant Bank Ltd in 2015 as Head of Centralised Operations. He has responsibility for the Centralised Operations of the Bank which covers Customer Service function, Core Operations of the bank and subsidiary as well as Reconciliation of Accounts.

    He is currently the Chairman, Treasury Support Workgroup of FMDA

    David Adepoju, the immediate past President of FMDA is the Head of Financial Markets for Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited, a position he has held in substantive capacity since January 2011.
    Under his leadership, the business has achieved tremendous results with a strong foundation in spite of challenging economic conditions in recent periods.
    David has over 15 years banking experience spanning Audit, Technology and Financial Markets. Prior to returning to Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria in 2011 as Head of Financial Markets and Co-Head of Wholesale Banking, he had responsibilities for Asset and Liability Management for the UAE and the wider Middle East region.
    He has also held positions in Financial Markets across Africa and the UK and has broad experience across Trading, Asset & Liability Management, Market Risk, Capital Markets and Market Development.
    He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Directors, Nigeria.
